When the stagnant upper low that has been responsible for several days of unsettled weather and even a few surprise tornadoes on Monday first arrived, it did so with little more than showers. On passage of one cluster bearing miniature supercell characteristics, some interesting features including a lowered base and eventual funnel could be seen over Gibson located in East Central Illinois.
Heading back, anti-crepuscular sun rays were also seen to the east.
